Discussions with Dr Henry Kissinger on Europe and US cooperation in which is discussed how to achieve effective political cooperation amongst the Nine, but not at the expense of UK relations with other powers, especially the US who must be involved at the earliest opportunity with the Nine. Also discussed were the Europe-Arab dialogue and the French's effort to undermine Kissinger's effort to promote a Middle East settlement.
